DBZ: Tenkaichi Tag Team (PSP)

Review:
By Joni Philips on 28-10-2010 at 17: 35 Currently is the anime industry very known in the West due to Poker mon, Naruto, One Piece and co., but in the past knew but some series a breakthrough.E n of that series was Dragon Ball, a franchise that nearly thirty years ago. The manga was published in 1984, the anime debuted in 1986 and the first video game followed not little later. In the meantime we are at the end of 2010 and can Dragon Ball about competing with Mario in terms of the number of video games. The counter is running low on seventy, what an impressive number. Ok, the guy that we asked for the Mario games, slammed by at 200, but no other series also comes but so close. Also this month launched Namco Bandai game a new Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PlayStation Portable. With Tenkaichi Tag Team wanted to Namco Bandai the Tenkaichi gameplay to the PlayStation Portable without simply a Budokai Tenkaichi game to sports, but is also managed?

In the area of the story brings Tenkaichi Tag Team in the first place more of the same. We can regain the full story of Dragon Ball Z, from the start with the Saiyan Saga to the Majin Buu Saga, in the Dragon Walker fashion. In this mode you will get missions, consisting of commands such as Search Gohan and story missions as Defeat Radditz which you complete by flying around on the world map.On this folder are buildings, where you often need to fly to a mission to be to start or end, and characters, which you can fight against them to fly. You will experience the story so something more interactive than in the previous Dragon Ball Z games, but we know the story really.

Fortunately, The challenge brings a novelty, the Tag Team system in which two teams of two. You control this n character and takes on the other computer. Also the opponent's works in this way, so is supported by a Saibaman Radditz in his battle while you know (if Goku) Piccolo to your side.In Dragon Walker delivers this occasionally unnatural fights on, such as the Saibaman that Radditz helps, but is much weaker. In the other modes is a solid addition, the second character is a real help and no stupid Appendix. Both characters can also do additional damage by both n character to attack.

So n option is of course best in the multiplayer, where you can fight with four friends, but unfortunately only via the Ad-hoc and not via the Internet, so you never experience the most multiplayer.Without online multiplayer flies this game quickly in the closet, because once the Dragon Walker mode is completed, you have no reason to return despite an impressive roster. Tenkaichi Tag Team provides a seventy characters. Even despite the many doubles as eight versions of Gohan and six forms of Trunks provides that some forty characters, which is not bad for a portable versions. You have very little meaning to them all free to play since you have little chance to use them.

Claiming that the multiplayer will be able to use, you will be able to enjoy for the combat system is now well put together. You have a button for simple attacks you can vari ren with the d-pad, a button for KI attacks, ... you have even a button to go chasing an enemy who runs away from you, something that is very useful. No annoying pursuits more so, because you retrieve them quickly and can finish with an attack if they are not careful. With moments feels the system something too simple, but it brings the action is nice in the picture and it feels indeed as a portable version of the Tenkaichi system with the nice bonus of the Tag Team system.

At graphic area is Tenkaichi Tag Team certainly not failure, but the game offers a mixture of styles. On the low-res world folder see your Chibi-versions of your characters, during the movies get still images from the anime and the conversations and the battles you see rather a real 3D model. The styles are sometimes used together, what is too chaotic. Spike must learn to make choices when creating a game. In terms of votes they made that choice now, absolutely no Japanese voices in this version of Dragon Ball Z. Also when it comes to music, they made a bad choice. The number of tracks is very low and the music itself is annoying, so you soon to play without sound.

Dragon Ball z: Tenkaichi Tag Team is the typical Dragon Ball Z game over the past ten years. While playing you'll even often feel that you have previously played the game, with Budokai Tenkaichi or Raging Blast. The addition of the Tag Team system changes little, even though it's a nice change from the n to n fights that we typically get. Compared to the previous Dragon Ball Z games on the PlayStation Portable feels Tenkaichi Tag Team much better finished, but without online fashion, without Japanese voices and without significant improvements in the standard formula is difficult to speak of an attraction.Let this game but equally on the side.

Racy Glee spread 'borders on paedophilia "

Updated October 21, 2010 10: 26: 00 A racy photo shoot for a men's magazine featuring three Glee cast members has been labelled "creepy" and questions are being raised about whether the popular TV musical show is becoming overexposed.

Short skirts, high heels, pretty panties and provocative poses featuring lollipops dominate the GQ photoshoot featuring Lea Michele (Rachel), Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Corey Monteith (Finn). All three stars are in their 20s.

The shoot plays with the high school setting of the Emmy-winning television show.

But the Parents Television Council says the photos "border on paedophilia," given the adult male readership or GQ.

"This is just the latest example of the all about the Sexualization of young girls in entertainment," the PTC said.

Glee-a sometimes dark, subversive comedy featuring a high school choir-has taken US pop culture by storm since its 2009 debut.

The program has produced three bestselling albums, won two Emmys and deals boldly with issues like sex, disability and gay bullying.

It is regularly watched by some 13.4 million US viewers and has a strong following overseas.

Superstars like Madonna, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga have readily agreed to license their songs to the show.

Broadcaster Fox has declined to comment on the PTC statement.

But GQ editor-in-Chief Jim Nelson says that the watchdog group "should learn to divide reality from fantasy".

"As often happens in Hollywood, these kids are in their 20s.Cory Monteith's almost 30.I think they're old enough to do what they want, "Nelson said.

Bob Thompson, professor of popular culture at Syracuse University, also brushed off the PTC comments.

He says that Glee has never been a "kiddie show" despite attracting a youth audience.

"From the very beginning, Glee has dealt with pot, teen pregnancy and gay sexuality. This is a show that has definitely got adult themes, "he said.

"The GQ shoot demonstrates it isn't just a show for teeny boppers."

Los Angeles Times TV writer Mary McNamara, noting that Monteith remains fully clothed in the shoot, expressed dismay only that young women still feel the need to pose so provocatively danced.

Michele, she wrote, "seems to be auditioning for a live action version of Japanese anime porn."

The Washington Post's Celebritology blog reports the GQ shoot is "the latest evidence that the Glee hype machine might be starting to spiral out of control."

Insane trailer for Toonpur Ka Superrhero

Toonpur Ka Superrhero is India's first cinema film that combines live action and computer animation. The result is a kind of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Alvin and the Chipmunks … but on lsd.

If you look at the trailer below, but you can come to a conclusion: Director Kireet Khurana has a great sense of humor. Or that the intention was, is another question. However, the animation, which with a limited budget was created, not even that bad.

In Toonpur Ka Superrhero plays actor Ajay Devgan a busy film star who doesn't have much time to spend with his kids. But he can make up for when he ends up in Toonpur, a cartoon world. The good cartoon characters (Devtoons) are being harassed by the bad guys (Toonasurs) and there is a real war in the country. In this bizarre world gets the actor not only the chance to be a real father, but also for a time to be a true superhero.

The comic movie looks incredibly maf and promises to be a hilarious Bollywoodproductie – for those who can taste, at least.

More Stars for Japan's Culinary Crown

TOKYO — According to the latest guide from restaurant referee Michelin, the new global champion in three-star dining is …Kansai.

The Michelin guidebook to be released Friday for Kansai, the Japanese region that encompasses Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe, awards its coveted three-star rating to 12 restaurants — a culinary antidote to Japan's economic fortunes and largely sagging sclerotic policy making.

Kyoto and Osaka had seven three-star restaurants in the 2010 guide. The latest guide added Kobe restaurants, and an additional five top ratings.

That edges the region fits reigning champion Tokyo (11 three-star restaurants) and places it well above Western dining capitals Paris (10 top-rated restaurants), New York (five) and London (two).

When the French tire maker debuted its Tokyo guide in 2008, it stars on Tokyo bestowed more than any other city in the world, spurring controversy.

For all of Japan's economic woes and its diminished presence on the global stage, the country's food culture has never been more widespread. There is a sushi counter inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Plano, Texas. And from Manhattan to Moscow to Bangkok, the repertoire of Japanese cuisine has outgrown sushi: Yakitori (grilled chicken on a skewer), Windows (noodles in broth), and soba (buckwheat noodles) restaurants are legion.

Though more than a decade of deflation has certainly lowered the cost of eating out in Japan — a simple gyudon, or beef bowl, costs just 280 yen (about $ 3.50) today — it hasn't curbed the country's collective appetite.

The Japanese are among the world's most devoted foodies.

Television shows featuring food seem to loop endlessly on Japan's major networks, with telegenic young women holding up quivering sea urchin or a glistening red slab of fresh tuna between their chopsticks before devouring it.Then they open their eyes wide and utter the most overused adjective in the Japanese vocabulary: "Oishii!"("Delicious!")

"Gastronomy is vibrant here," said Jean-Luc Naret, director of the Michelin guides, in an interview.

"There are 160,000 restaurants in Tokyo and 15,000 in Paris," he added when asked if Michelin had been too generous with its ratings in Japan.

When the Japan guide debuted, critics accused Michelin's mostly Western inspectors or being too generous out of a lack of understanding of Japanese food. Mr. Naret said that now all seven inspectors in Japan are Japanese.

The government is busy figuring out ways to monetize the country's growing cultural clout. This summer, Japan's government established a Cool Japan office to promote fashion, food and tourism.

Newscom Michelin Guide director Jean-Luc Naret displays the new Kansai regional guide in Kobe, Japan, on Tuesday.

The number of Japanese restaurants around the world has exploded over the past decade. There were 24,000 Japanese restaurants globally in 2006, the last year figures were tallied, according to Japan's ministry of agriculture. In North America, the number of Japanese restaurants doubled to 10,000 in the decade from 1996 to 2006.In the same period, the number of Japanese restaurants in China also swelled.

"I think on the whole it's a good thing — Michelin is taking Japanese chefs seriously and giving them international recognition," said Mark Robinson, the author of "Izakaya: The Japanese Pub Cookbook."

"But a lot of people [in Japan] think that Michelin doesn't have any business judging them," he said.

Kyoto is renowned for its kaiseki cuisine — a multicourse tasting menu whose roots go back almost 500 years — and the proud purveyors of the tradition, passed down for generations within families. It is a closed, rarefied world and one where outsiders aren't always welcomed.A handful of the restaurants included in the guide come without pictures.

"In Tokyo we have to ask twice [to get pictures]," said Mr. Naret."In Kyoto we have to ask three times. On the fourth, they will give us pictures. "
